Read about the 22 students who are running 2685km to raise money for those in need.
We are a group of Oxford Brookes University girls who have been following the updates on the recent Ukraine crisis. We are all deeply shocked by the events that Ukraine is facing and feel the responsibility to do what we can to help.
Therefore, instead of partying together we are going to collaboratively run 2685km, which is the distance from Oxford to Ukraine, over the course of a month commencing 06 March 2022.
We would really appreciate any donations, however small, so that people who are affected will receive the support they so desperately need. In addition to the amount we raise, the UK Government will match the overall donation!!!!

Below is information and the website link to further understand the commendable work that the Disasters Emergency Committee are doing for the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis:
“Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing hundreds of thousands to flee. Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost.
DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.
Every pound donated by the UK public will be matched by the UK Government up to £20 million.
- £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month.
- £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm.
- £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month.”
